Idaho high school boys basketball rankings: Four squads make first appearance in poll.
Centennial, American Falls, Melba and Lighthouse Christian appeared in the rankings Tuesday for the first time this season. See the top five for each class here.
BOISE, Idaho — Four teams appeared in their classification's rankings for the first time this season in the latest Idaho high school boys basketball state media poll, released Tuesday.
Centennial soared onto the scene and earned the No. 4 spot in the 5A rankings following wins over Rocky Mountain, Timberline and Capital in the past week. The Patriots tout an 11-3 record entering Tuesday's SIC matchup with Eagle.
After receiving votes in last week's media poll, American Falls climbed into the 3A rankings, while Teton dropped out of the list of top-five teams. The 4A order went unchanged, with Preston and Hillcrest leading the way.
Cole Valley Christian once again swept the 2A first-place votes, while North Fremont moved up two spots and Melba made its debut at No. 5. Lighthouse Christian (1A DI) was the fourth squad to make its first appearance in the rankings Tuesday.
